Linda Hume’s Point of View

"No doubt I was an introspective and solitary (ok, weird) kid. When I was about eight, I started to wander around town, imagine how the homes I passed could look inside. It’s a habit I never outgrew - I still prowl neighborhoods in every city I visit, peer into windows like the little match girl. Exploring urban courtyards, chic hotels, and classic homes is my idea of a good vacation.”

About Linda…

Following an extensive career in marketing and business management, Linda focused time and energy into developing her residential design skills. She’s completed numerous projects over the last 20 years, some estate category, others modest. She’s bought, remodeled, staged, and sold real estate. Linda recognizes that quality finishing increases property value and appeal; she elevates the ordinary.

She’s known for finding the potential in dated or poorly executed spaces. Linda’s style leans to contemporary eclectic; she focuses on proportion, balance, spatial consistency.

Architects develop complex, multi-dimensional structures; certified designers draw foundations, roofs, assemblies. Linda doesn’t. When a situation is beyond her capability, she happily defers to them. Yet as she says, not every home requires full-on architecture to become cohesive, current, and welcoming.

Linda is passionate about nature preservation, animal welfare, good books, friends, & food. (And of course, shopping.) She loves to travel near and far and has resided up & down the West Coast. She styles homes from the Canadian Border to the San Francisco Bay and now makes her home on beautiful San Juan Island in Washington State.
